The students in the photo above have a lot in common with our alumni. They chose Illinois for an outstanding education in materials. They had committed teachers whose dedication to instruction and research inspired them. They formed long-lasting friendships with their classmates. And they benefited from scholarships, perhaps without which they wouldn't have been able to attend college.

Gifts to the Materials Science and Engineering General Fund are used for scholarship support, student recruitment, laboratory equipment and maintenance, building renovation, and special events, to name a few.
