MatSE Job Resources for Employers

When you recruit at Illinois, you find top-notch students. In quality of education and research, the undergraduate program and graduate program in Materials Science and Engineering (MatSE) at the University of Illinois are consistently ranked among the top materials programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. The MatSE Department's areas of concentration include ceramics, electronic materials, metals, polymers, and biomaterials. Our hands-on program produces graduates who enter the industry ready to tackle immediate needs. Our curriculum reflects the broad view required to address industry's demands for scientists and engineers with a sound understanding of modern materials and laboratory techniques. Students explore properties and phenomena that span all classes of materials, while specializing in a specific class of materials.

The MatSE Department offers the following services at no cost to employers:

MatSE Resume Books and Resume CDs contain the resumes of students at all levels of education — B.S., M.S. and Ph.D., plus students seeking summer jobs.

On-Campus Interviews

Our placement office will assist you in coordinating on-campus interviews of MatSE students. You are encouraged to contact students directly, using the Resume Book, CD or their online resumes. However, we are always happy to contact students for you and set-up an interview schedule according to your needs. We will provide an interview room and help you make arrangements for an information session.
